Sun Trolley Transports Veterans to Tap 42 on Veterans Day – Post Event Wrap Up

On November 10, 2016, in celebration of Veterans Day 2016, the Sun Trolley transported 25 Veterans from the tri-county area to Tap 42 to celebrate and honor their service to our country. The trolley, carrying veterans from six wars, was accompanied by a seven unit police escort. “Serving and Honoring our Veterans and active duty military is such an honorable and much needed responsibility that we all need to do more of. I think all of our partners did a tremendous job of that,” said Ryan Paton of Honor Flight South Florida. Honor Flight South Florida, a local non-profit organization with ZERO paid staff, raised $5,240. That $5,240 that will go DIRECTLY to getting 14 more local WWII Veterans on the trip of their life to their $200 Million dollar memorial in Washington, D.C.

Honor Flight South Florida, is a local nonprofit organization focused on one goal: to transport America’s veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices at zero cost to the veterans.
