Military Personnel Ride the Sun Trolley for Free During Fleet Week 2014

All active military personnel visiting Broward County for Fleet Week Port Everglades, April 28 – May 5, will be extended free bus service on Broward County Transit (BCT) as well as free rides on the Sun Trolley when they board in uniform or show their military identification. 

The Broward County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution on March 18, 2014, to approve the free bus service to show appreciation to the military during their stay. BCT has provided naval organizers with route schedules, maps and travel information to Broward County’s attractions, shopping centers and cultural sites. 

Fleet Week 2014, presented by Humana Healthcare Military Services in partnership with Broward Navy Days, Inc., salutes the thousands of Sailors, Marines and Coast Guard men and women who arrive at Port Everglades in several U.S. Navy and Coast Guard ships.
